Contractual Disputes
I was the lead attorney in a dispute between Air Concierge, Inc.. a rental management company that markets and manages Airbnb rental units for home owners, and a California property owner. Our client disputed the liquidated damages she was charged under Air Concierge’s form agreement as excessive. We filed a class action lawsuit on behalf of her and similarly situated property owners to challenge the contested provision and reached a satisfactory outcome for our client.
Long Term Lock-in Provisions
I was one of the attorneys representing a business owner who was locked into a long-term service agreement with a multi-billion dollar corporation under a contract containing early termination penalties. Our client sought to be released from her obligations after discovering significant, ongoing problems in the services she received from the defendant which put the viability of her business at risk. She asked the defendant to be released from her long-term service contract but was threatened with a costly lawsuit seeking hundreds of thousands of dollars in damages.
We filed a class action lawsuit on behalf of our client and those similarly situated and successfully resolved the dispute to our client’s satisfaction.
